Mission Statement
I AM WATERWISE.ORG is a Florida non-profit dedicated to providing
comprehensive water safety education, regardless of age or ability.
Our mission is to remove financial barriers and empower everyone to feel confident and secure in, on, and around the water by teaching essential skills to prevent drowning and recognize and avoid dangerous water situations.
One of our first priorities is to promote and provide two very important life-safety skills that are often needed for emergency situations both on land and in the water, CPR and the use of AED’s.
Through all of our programs, we seek to also promote and provide incentive scholarships and incentive grants to students of all ages, no matter their constraints or physical limitations, so they become familiar with basic essential water skills and then to move on to further advance their swimming skills.
We also seek to provide incentive scholarships and incentive grants to swim instructors and lifeguards to further advance their knowledge and training in specialized instructional skills including adaptive aquatics, in return becoming ambassadors involved in community outreach programs promoting water safety, swim lessons, CPR and AED training, as well as swimming pool safety, especially at one’s home.
Hero pledges to you that the dollars we raise will all go towards our mission of providing these services and programs and that any and all administrative costs will be kept as low as possible.
We can all donate. We can all volunteer. No one is immune from drowning, however when we do our best (and we ask everyone to do their best) we can empower ourselves to learn and then facilitate the education and safety of others.

From beginning swimmers, to swim instructor training incentives and lifeguard training incentives, our scholarships and grants go to educate, train and empower swimmers of all ages, all abilities and every special need.
